At Youth Will, we believe young people deserve the freedom to pursue careers that bring them joy and fulfillment—not just those deemed valuable by society or family. The "traditional" path is no longer a guaranteed win. Instead, it often leaves young people with mismatched jobs and overwhelming debt.
This outdated expectation isn't just a financial burden, it's a mental health crisis. We're here to change the narrative. By championing alternative pathways and accessible education, we empower young people to build stable, passionate, and sustainable futures on their own terms.
Fellowship Overview
Empower Youth with Knowledge & Skills
We will equip fellows with political analysis, historical context, and research and advocacy skills to challenge outdated education and workforce models.
Prioritize Mental Health & Wellbeing
Fellows will advocate for career pathways that prioritize youth mental health, reducing the pressure to conform to traditional, debt-heavy career routes.
Real Impact
Engage fellows in survey development and policy advocacy, allowing them to directly influence narratives around education, workforce, and youth well-being.
Timeline & Eligibility

The fellowship will run for six-weeks over the summer.

All sessions will be in person at 10AM - 2:30PM

Must be 18-25 years old at the time of the fellowship

Must be based in San Diego County

We believe in paying young people for their expertise.
Fellows will receive a $1500 stipend for their participation.
