About the event
Join us for a zine workshop facilitated by former Youth Will LEAD Fellow, Mekayla Nariño! Mekayla is a mixed (Colombian/ white), queer woman from the unceded Payómkawichum land, also known as North County San Diego. Her dedication to collective liberation is what grounds her work and how she navigates the world. Mekayla pours much of her time into her organization Reimagining Our Future San Diego which facilitates mutual aid exchanges (aka 'free stores'), educational discussions and teach-ins, as well as social and art related events.
