Precious Letchaw
Youth Will LEAD Fellow
Precious Letchaw is a first-generation San Diego State University student studying for a Bachelor of Social Work on a full-ride scholarship. She grew up in San Diego California and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High in 2021. Her leadership skills started growing in Restorative Justice Practices at Knox Middle School. She has participated in many youth-centered initiatives using peer facilitation, community organizing, and policy advocacy. She is proud to have been awarded The Blue Heart Foundation Guardian Scholar award, The RISE ILIA award for Next-Gen Influencer, and Council President Sean Elo-Rivera City Of San Diego ninth district "Youth Leader of the Year."
Precious spends time in her community as a teaching artist at Lincoln High and youth advocate with Youth Will, who pushes for youth prioritization, youth justice, and for youth to build power. She imagines a better future for herself and her community. She hopes to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. serving youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, drug addiction, and trauma. She wants to work using all of my networks to collaborate against institutionalized Counselor/Advisor, and then Program Manager.
