Mekayla Narino

Mekayla (she/her/ella) is from Escondido, CA. She is a proud UC San Diego alumni, with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Sociology. Her dedication to collective liberation is what grounds her work. One of her passions, with this value in mind, is mutual aid organizing. She founded the organization Reimagining Our Future SD in 2024, which is based in North County San Diego. Reimagining Our Future SD facilitates mutual aid exchanges (aka 'free stores'), educational discussions and teach-ins, as well as social and art related events. The intention is to cultivate community and accessible spaces for social justice engagement and learning. In her free time, she loves to go to the beach, read, dance, hike, and try new cafes.
