Daniel Hernandez (He/Him) is a first-generation Chicano growing up in Ensenada and San Diego. He is an incoming freshman in the Hendrix College STEM Scholar program, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Social Justice. As the South Bay Community liaison for SD350, he advocated against climate injustice, leading the creation of a clean energy curriculum with the teachers from his district. Daniel also aims to further develop his own poetic speech style of advocacy, to speak against the vicious cycle of climate and socio-economic injustices within BIPOC communities. As a certified Climate Ambassador in San Diego County, Daniel believes in a healthier future for BIPOC communities through uplifting youth voices for Climate Justice.
